Hello and welcome to our website! We are European photographers - Sky and Olya - passionate about our work, people and life! We are a couple that loves working together - that's how you get two photographers for one when you get to shoot with Unicorn Productions! We came to Los Angeles last year in 2013, met on set, and the rest is history :) We started shooting our artist friends and now for 2014 a big aim is to make our first collaborative short film and commercial.
Our photography has a cinematic twist to it. When we are asked to conceptualize shoots, we are happiest when the end photos look like you are starring in a movie. Our preference is shooting with natural light and on location. We always aim to create a fun working environment for our subjects as this helps your personality shine through your photos.
So why should you choose us? To start with, Sky has over ten years of professional print experience as a model and commercial actor. Part of the job required being super critical of the image, i.e. correct body angles with relation to the photographer's shooting perspective, separation between shoulders and jaw line etc. Therefore, we are very skilled at finding the most photogenic angles and perspectives to shoot you from! In addition, we don't like to overphotoshop your face - but we do believe in color grading the final image so that it has added depth and life. Finally we shoot together directing the other with a tethered ipad - a great tool for showing the subject when they are close to "nailing" that shot so that they can see and feel what minor adjustments they need to make.
